WindNOW! at Expert Forum 3 – Analyzing Errors!
At the Wind Energy Days in Potsdam, Jürgen Hesselmann, Sales Director of WindNOW! GmbH (photo right), will demonstrate how avoidable errors can affect the lifespan of a wind turbine.
In Forum 3 on Thursday, November 13, at 2:45 p.m., he will join Matthias Saathoff from apera (photo left) to discuss the impact of material fatigue on wind turbines: How can fatigue be precisely localized? What factors influence it? And how can results be effectively applied in service operations?
The greenwind Forum 3 will be led by Dr.-Ing. Christoph Heilmann of Green Wind Engineering GmbH. According to Heilmann, the guiding principle of the forum is the system perspective: “On the one hand, we need foresight regarding the decades-long lifespan of a turbine to ensure overall economic efficiency. On the other hand, we need focus to solve critical details before they become problems. A wind turbine is a system subject to strong vibrations from wind and operation. If this is not kept in focus, it leads to higher yield losses, wear, and damage. We aim to monitor vibrations and enable predictive service.”
WindNOW! will be present at booth 139 with information on its independent full-service offering for wind turbines. Also present are Ingo Völkerink, Managing Director, and Christian Berndsen, Director Operations & Engineering.
